Firefight Reloaded, the brutal Half‑Life 2 mod focused on massive swarms of enemies and fast‑paced, movement‑oriented gameplay, receives a major update effective immediately.

Highlights

  • The update will be applied the next time you restart FIREFIGHT RELOADED.

New Features

  • Improved Contract functionality with custom spawnlists.
  • Added original HL2 blood decals on top of the existing SMOD blood decals.
  • Changed the outline color for Kamikaze zombies and headcrabs to differentiate them from allies.
  • Added the ConVar sv_enable_coop for enabling co‑op mode.
  • Increased Bullsquid health from 70 to 85.
  • Increased Bullsquid bite damage from 15 to 25 and then to 50.
  • Improved Bullsquid AI behavior when spitting and chasing the player.
  • Improved M249 MPC sounds.
  • Enemies now have a higher spawn priority than allies.
  • Antlion spawns have been moved to Level 4.
  • Houndeye spawns have been moved to Level 5.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a crash involving sound envelope controllers (used by the Fast Zombie).
  • Fixed a crash related to AI squad enemy memory.
  • Fixed animation errors with NPCs wielding RPGs.
  • Fixed a bug where the attribute loader for NPCs reassigns the default model if models are assigned.
  • Fixed a bug on Linux where map‑specific loadouts would not load.
  • Fixed a bug where Houndeye blast damage was too high when in squads with few or no other Houndeyes.
  • Fixed a stack overflow crash related to allied Antlion NPCs and contracts.
  • Fixed a bug where enemies had incorrect spawn priority handling (corrected to give enemies higher priority).
